We're hiring! Will you be our next Director of Programmes?

We’re hiring! As a small start-up growth is hugely important to us. To help us bolster our offering, we’re looking for a high-energy and versatile Director of Programmes to join our talented and ambitious team. The Director of Programmes will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the Education Programmes, their staff, and courses. You will lead CMP’s education programmes and an exceptional programme team. Our programme team is divided between two functional areas: university facing and government and industry facing.

Your role:

Higher Education

  • Build strategic relationships with UKHE organisations including Advance HE, UKRI and other relevant organisations.

  • Develop CMP’s voice and footprint in the HE Sector by engaging in conferences, writing blogs and other relevant activities.

    University Facing

  • Manage and ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the Education Programmes - focusing on the internal consistency (pedagogy, curriculum) of the programmes and outwardly on their coherence with Higher Education sector standards.

  • Strategic management and development of the curriculum exploring opportunities for expansion and innovation. Leverage knowledge and experience to take the initiative in strengthening existing education programmes.

  • Manage team to build and evolve our Alumni Community.

    Government and Industry Facing

  • Be responsible for quality assurance of our Problem Sourcing and Curation processes (training will be provided) to ensure highest quality problems and sponsors for our programmes.

  • Strengthen and build relationships with stakeholders across government and assist in establishing CMP as an indispensable partner amongst government customers.

  • Establish and manage existing and new contracts including managing the team to ensure all contractual KPIs are monitored and met.

  • Scale our programmes within UK professional military education.

    General

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation through continuous optimisation of programme operations, and initiatives for improvement.

  • Support the Executive Director in seeking out new vectors of growth and funding opportunities.

  • Plan and conduct in-person and virtual training, special events and conferences as relevant to the role.

  • Build relationships with CMP international counterparts.

    You have:

  • Knowledge and experience of the UK’s Higher Education Sector, a PhD is desirable.

  • Experience of development, management and benchmarking of university programmes.

  • Experience of curriculum design and development within Higher Education.

  • Experience of working with the government is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and presentations skills and the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely in oral and written communications to academic, government and public audiences.

  • Experience of leading multiple work-streams and motivating a team to deliver on multiple

    programmes.

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while performing under pressure and working to tight deadlines.

  • The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the team.

  • Excellent emotional intelligence and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Salary range £70,000 - £80,000 p.a.
